Leith Lovelock Trials 2009 Results

 

The going was excellent due to the lack of rain during the past few weeks. The weather was sunny and cool, with just a very slight breeze.

Race One

Boys and Girls 12 and Under
approximately 375m

Boys and Girls 14 and Under
approximately 750m

The one-lapper was keenly contested with Sebastian Sole showing up
early in the race. Reuben Knox ran a tactical race to surge to the front
at the finish to win narrowly from Sebastian Sole and Alice Cuthbert..
The two lapper was contested by Erin Scott who ran an admirable race
to finish with a good time.

Race Two

All the remaining grades: SW, SM, MW35+, MM35+, MW50+, MM50+
M19, M16, W19, W16 ran in race two.

Neale McLanachan led from the front in dominating this race eventually
drawing away from the rest of the field to win by 10 seconds from the
second placed finisher Andrew Lonie who won the MM35+ grade.
Kirsty Morris showed her dominance again by winning the SW grade
finishing 10 overall. Brian Pascoe won the MM50+ grade, Sue Cuthbert
won the MW35+ grade and Paul Beauvais won the Maiden Mile.
