At the Otago Peninsula Challenge, Andrew Lonie finished third in 1 hour 37minutes 11 seconds. Neale McLanachan (1hr 42min 28sec) finished fourth. Louisa Andrew won the women’s race in 2hr 52min 52sec, while Sarah Toomey finished second in 2hr 56min 08sec. Joy Wylie (2:16:45) finished seventh. Christine Leith (2:46:50) was sixth master woman.

At the Motatapu Off-Road Marathon held on Saturday, Leith athletes excelled. Sue Cuthbert won the master women’s grade in 3 hours 42 minutes 30 seconds. Brian Pascoe won the veteran male section in 3 hours 20 minutes 25 seconds

On Sunday, Leith runners did very well in the Three Peaks Mountain race with Chris Sole (MM50) and Louisa Andrew (MW35) winning their grades and Andrew Lonie finishing third overall

At the Great Naseby Water Race on Saturday Leith runners Brian Pascoe and Ron McLay-Barnes set an open men’s team record of 4:41.41 while Grant Koedyk and Stu Hodges set a master’s team record time of 5:06.30
